What we stand for

Good flower starts with people who care.

We’re farmers first, and we love what we grow. Every step, from seed to shelf, gets our full attention, and you can taste the difference. No gimmicks, just honest cannabis and good neighbors. Whether it’s your first visit or you know exactly what you like, our team will help you find something you’ll love and tell you where it came from.

First in New York

Ulster County farmers with decades of plant experience, there from day one of New York’s legal market.

Quality, full stop

From our own farm and trusted partner farms across New York, we pick the freshest batches. Consistent quality and a wide selection you can trust.

Local & independent

We partner with local artisans like Lagusta’s Luscious in New Paltz for hand-crafted edibles and Nanticoke Farms in Ithaca for full-spectrum extracts. Every purchase keeps your dollars in New York.

Our story

From humble beginnings to New York’s fastest-selling flower.

All done through love and a growing family, with art, passion and a soundtrack in everything we do. Words can’t describe how grateful we are for this place and the people who make it special, and we’d love to share it with you.

Where it started
Asheville, NC
Growing plants in the mountains of North Carolina and living in a trailer.
2018 · Hudson Valley
Boice Dairy Farm
We moved to the Hudson Valley and bought the old Boice dairy farm. Then came endless hours, building the farm by hand through every season.
December 2022
The first legal sale
We sold the first legal weed to Housing Works, and the very first customer on opening day of New York’s legal market bought Back Home.
Our own shop
Back Home Dispensary, Stone Ridge
We opened our first shop just down the road from our farm in Stone Ridge.
Grown in the light
Mixed-light greenhouses
Building the greenhouses where most of our strain wall grows.
Next level
New grow rooms
Top-of-the-line indoor rooms, built for consistent flower year-round.
Like-minded partners
Kira Kinney & Marlen Bresler
Kira runs Evolutionary Organics farm in New Paltz. Marlen is an underground indoor grower from Amsterdam.
The genetics
The world’s best genetics
Buying and breeding our own, always chasing the next great strain.
Now
Back Home Kingston
Our second shop, bringing Back Home to Kingston.
Every step of the way
The Back Home family
The family keeps growing. Thank you for being part of it.
